Tonic brand Fever-Tree and chef Sergio Herman are jointly launching a tonic: Fever-Tree Clementine Tonic Water with Cinnamon. It has a taste that immediately makes you dream of a paradise island with deserted pearly white beaches, swaying palms, a sky-blue sea, long siestas and cozy bars. Sergio was inspired by a stay in Ibiza where he was impressed by combinations that were made there with citrus fruits. The makers of Fever-Tree (Charles Rolls and Tim Warrilow) met Sergio at the opening of his restaurant The Jane in Antwerp. Both parties saw something in cooperation. A little later, Fever-Tree received the aromatics from Sergio with which they could start working. A little later, the chef was invited to the Chelsea Physic Garden in London, where there is a fever tree, the source of the tonic's characteristic quinine. The result was a soft tonic with a round, slightly sweeter taste based on fresh clementines and cinnamon.
